Longview was built on a simple idea: people navigating retirement deserve clear information and a well-organised file, not confusion and clutter.

Our Story

How Longview Came to Be

Longview opened its doors in Nonthaburi in 2018, after its founder spent several years helping family members sort through a backlog of pension letters, correspondence, and renewal notices that had piled up without any real system. The experience made one thing clear: the information people needed was usually available — it was just buried under language that assumed too much prior knowledge.

From that starting point, Longview developed a way of working that puts explanation first. Before anything gets filed, it gets understood. Sessions are built around the person sitting across the table, not a fixed curriculum.

Over the years, the team has refined its approach through hundreds of individual consultations and file-building sessions, working alongside people from many different countries who have chosen Thailand as their long-term home. Each arrangement is tailored to the individual's situation rather than pulled from a template.

Today, Longview remains a small, attentive practice based in Nonthaburi. The things that have not changed: a preference for plain language, a dislike of unnecessary urgency, and a genuine interest in helping people feel oriented in their own financial and administrative lives.

Our Mission

To make retirement-related documents and frameworks understandable to the people they concern, and to help those people keep their records in a state they can actually use.

Our Approach

We work at the pace of the person we are with. There is no fixed script, no upselling, and no assumption that one session structure suits everyone. What matters is whether the person leaves with a clearer picture than when they arrived.

Our Promise

Longview does not offer financial advice or legal counsel. What we do offer is careful, attentive help with the informational and organisational side of retirement paperwork — and an honest referral if your needs go beyond that scope.

How We Work

Our Standards and Practices

The principles that guide every session, every file, and every client relationship at Longview.

Confidentiality

All personal documents and information shared with Longview remain strictly between the client and our team. We do not share, copy, or store personal data beyond what the client explicitly requests.

Accuracy First

Our information summaries are reviewed and updated regularly. If something is outside the scope of what we can confirm with confidence, we say so clearly rather than guessing.

Punctuality and Preparation

Sessions are prepared in advance based on the client's stated needs. We arrive on time and make good use of the time we have together.

Clear Scope of Work

We are an information and document organisation service — not a financial advisory or legal practice. This distinction is made clear from the start, and we maintain it throughout our work.

Client-Led Pace

We follow the client's pace, not the other way around. If a session needs to slow down, revisit a point, or take a different direction, that is always a reasonable thing to ask for.

Regular Content Review

Topic summaries and information guides are reviewed on a rolling basis so that the material used in sessions reflects current documentation requirements and process changes.

About Our Work

Retirement Documents in Thailand: What the Work Actually Involves

People who have settled in Thailand for their later years often find themselves managing paperwork from multiple countries at once — pension administration from a home country, local residency documentation, bank correspondence, and periodic renewal notices. Each of these has its own vocabulary and its own filing logic.

Longview works specifically in this space: helping individuals understand what these documents say, how they relate to each other, and how to keep them in a state where they can be found and used when needed. This is not advisory work. It is orientation work — helping people read their own lives more clearly.

The skills involved are attentiveness, patience, and a thorough familiarity with the common document types that circulate in this context. Longview has built that familiarity over years of one-to-one sessions and file reviews, accumulating a working knowledge of the patterns that repeat across different people's situations.

What makes the work useful is that it does not try to do too much. It does not substitute for a qualified financial planner or a solicitor. It fills the space between having a pile of documents and understanding what you have — a gap that is real, and that good organisation can genuinely close.
